Mercedes Hoverson
Mercedes graduated as the top student from Larimore High School in 2023. While in school, she maintained a 3.94 GPA, was in the National Honor Society, participated in volleyball, basketball, and softball, took wrestling stats and basketball stats, and also participated in FBLA, River Watch, and band. In addition to her school work and school athletics and programs, she also has spent the last seven years dedicating herself to serving her community through various volunteer activities.
Mercedes plans to attend the University of North Dakota and double major in Biology and Chemistry while earning a pre-professional degree in Pre-Medicine. Her career goal is to become a doctor. While she has not decided on a specific medical specialty, she is currently interested in dermatology, OBGYN, sports medicine, and anesthesiology.
Her parents are Michael and Mandy Hoverson of Larimore.
Madisyn Altendorf
Madisyn graduated as the Valedictorian of the Minot Public School class of 2023. While in school, she was on the A honor roll every quarter, was in the National Honor Society, and participated in extracurriculars such as volleyball, softball, basketball, band, choir, DECA, FCCLA, SADD, Riverwatch, speech, Yearbook, and drama. When she wasn’t busy with school and activities, she enjoyed volunteering with her religion class, assisting in elementary classrooms, and various other volunteer opportunities through North Dakota Leadership Seminar, DECA, and FCCLA events.
Madisyn plans to attend the University of North Dakota to obtain a degree in Management. Her goal is to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in three years! She sees herself working as a manager for a corporation.
Her parents are Ryan and Tami Altendorf of Minto.
